The MMM is dedicated to a very brave Rhesus Macaque monkey named Stormy who lived on Monkey Hill near Hong Kong, China. He was born in 2021 and soon after birth was bitten and became paralyzed from the waist down. To a monkey living in the wild, this would seem to be a deterrence that would cause him to be completely reliant on others o
The MMM is dedicated to a very brave Rhesus Macaque monkey named Stormy who lived on Monkey Hill near Hong Kong, China. He was born in 2021 and soon after birth was bitten and became paralyzed from the waist down. To a monkey living in the wild, this would seem to be a deterrence that would cause him to be completely reliant on others or for his family to abandon him.
One problem. No one told Stormy or his mother, Stella, this fact. Stormy persevered with the support of his family and learned how to climb, play, forage and be a monkey! He did because he was never told he couldn't. Unfortunately, little Stormy did pass away due to infection but up until his dying day, he never gave up. His family never took away their support. And he worked his way into a lot of human hearts as well.
This li'l guy inspired me to start the Monkey Mail Movement. My goal is to make sure everyone this movement touches doesn't give up. Possibly, if only just for one moment, to feel they are not alone and that they do matter; to not give up no matter what the world thinks.
